busted, I havent been on to update in wayyy too long!

I'm living in florida now, I have been for two months. It's a completely different world out here. & I won't lie, IT'S TOUGH. But I'm happy and I'm growing up. I get to see my Tacer everyday, and to me that's really all that matters

o n e WEEK!

IN ONE WEEK FROM TODAY I WILL BE MOVING!!! yes packing my bags and moving to florida! to live withmy sister and see my baby boy every day! honestly i'm scared to death but i'm so excited to G O!

My two favorite people in the entire world were able to come visit me for a little while! && it was amazing!

Imagine my surprise when i came home around 8 oclock one night and saw my mother holding a little boy that wasn't the common little Cj. It took me a few seconds to realize who this perfect baby was but when i put two and two together i started running through the house looking for that perfect baby's mama! Only to feel like a complete loser when i realized she had been sitting on the couch right next to my mom. [:

This trip was a C R A Z Y one indeed Tracer had lots of people to meet and not nearly enough time to do it. My time with Christie felt like it always does... like it was being played in fast forward. I wish I was able to be near them always, they are two amazing people, yes even that 8 month old baby boy is an amazing person. I am sitting here writing this instead of crying while i hold that boy. Sometimes it seems unfair that such a wonderful blessing could be brought into our lives, then have to be admired from so far away. :/ They are leaving tomorrow @ 7:00 and I will once again have to resort to phones calls, blog posts, and skype sessions. But it doesn't matter, i got to spend some P E R F E C T days with my big sister, and my perfect little nephew!

Wow can you believe it mama?! I'm almost done, i have less than one month of high school left. No more kids in school, your baby girl is DONE. Daddy I wish i could say the same for you... but you have 14 years left ;)

I am so excited to start this next step in my life I don't think time could go by fast enough. I know I know... I'll miss it one day! But "one day" isn't today, and it's not tomorrow. One day is far far away so right now I am going to make time FLY by, because i just C A N' T wait! I have spent 54% of my life in school and I can not wait to finally leave CCSD!!!

Gettin ready for a new life...

So Friday night I served a culinary banquet, with 225 people. 5 VIP tables, all including.. city councilmen, the mayor's representative, and some pretty "high up there" chefs. I wore a little black dress, 2 1/2 inch heels, I started at 1:30 that evening and i kept on going till 10:00 that night. Let's just say my feet were D E A D!! It was frustrating and exhausting and would have been a complete "waste" of one of my very few Friday nights left in high school. E X C E P T When I was in the back of the banquet hall making my way out so their event could start. The host/MC for the night began his thanks. Starting with our school, chef Pittman, chef smith, &&& Miss Diana Lacey. \\
This by itself was pretty cool, just to simply get recognized and singled out. But then when i did my wave from the VERY back of the banquet hall the host continued to speak to me:
"is that Diana there in the back?"
To this i waved and smiled still, thinking he just wanted everyone to put a face with the name.
"Diana our table was so impressed with you earlier this evening. Not many 18 years old can walk up to a table full of grown men and woman and introduce themselves, enough so to leave an impression"
I can't tell you word for word what he had said after that, but for the rest of the night I was complemented multiple times on my "business presence". I controlled the banquet, I dealt with the rising issues I conducted the students and I made an impression. Even if it was a small one, it made my night just to know hear that I was different than most, that I was set apart.

I was given Flowers and I was asked over and over again if i was going to college, I was told not to waste my talent, and that I could easily make it to the top one day. "You carry yourself very well" my chef explained to me many times throughout the past two years, but that night, yeah that night I felt like I had accomplished so much more. [:
........ I did go home, ice my feet, then took a very l o n g & h o t bubble bath and swore never to wear heels again....

&&& Tuesday, I do it all over again!!

the simple things in life

I must say, life is funny! One day everything seems so overwhelming and uncontrollable. then the next day things can be calm once more! Sometimes all it takes is one little event to occur and things instantly change. For me things change with a letter! one tiny short and simple letter from a FAR away cousin. and another from a FAR away friend.
Both of these little letters made my day worth it. Every speed bump in the past week, every Rude person, unnessesary out of the waytrips, completely unwanted hassles/tasks. They all simply melt away when you remember that you have amazing people in your life that have the power to simply make you SMILE.
Every monday i am blessed to get my emails, and hopefully by wednesday i get my letters in the mail, if our post offices do their jobs properly. These are just two more little things i could look forward to in my life. sometimes i am amazed at the simplicity of things. And how extremely complicated us humans like to try and make them!
